Standards Integration in the Asset Administration Shell

Over 100 experts from more than 50 organizations are involved in IDiS – Initiative for Digital Standards. iiRDS was represented in the project by our ambassador Ulrike Parson with parson AG; thus, we were able to follow the developments directly.

The demonstration showed how the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) of a standard can be expanded to include standard content and fragments, thereby simplifying and accelerating product development.

Based on the AAS of a product under development and the AAS of a standard, the following results were achieved:
•    The standard requirements were integrated into the product development.
•    The product capabilities and standard requirements were compared.
•    The standard conformity of the current product development status was evaluated.
