New members strengthen activities in standardization
In the first quarter of 2024, the iiRDS Consortium grew by two new members, DIN Media and DKE German Commission for Electrical, Electronic & Information Technologies.
The iiRDS Consortium supports iiRDS pilot projects
The Consortium is funding a limited number of projects with up to 5,000 Euro each to make it easier for companies to get started with iiRDS, together with an iiRDS Consultant.
Easier generation of iiRDS packages...
...with the new plugin for DITA Open Toolkit. On March 22, the tekom iiRDS Consortium published a free plugin for the DITA Open Toolkit.
iiRDS Version 1.2 now online
The iiRDS Version 1.2 was published on November 10, 2023. It features SKOS labeling, revised definitions and links to external classifications such as ECLASS.
iiRDS in International Standardization
The "IEC PAS 63485:2023 Intelligent Information Request and Delivery - A process model for the exchange of information for use" referencing iiRDS was published on October 6, 2023.
InterOpera Project "iiRDS Handover Documentation"
With a presentation on the Asset Administration Shell submodel project "iiRDS Handover Documentation" (now "Intelligent Information for Use") in Industrie 4.0, the InterOpera project was concluded in June. The organizer has now also put the project profile and the specification of the submodel online.
Introducing iiRDS to universities
Ralf Robers introduced iiRDS at the IUNTC webinar on September 20. The event was the kick-off for an exchange between the consortium and universities for closer cooperation on the topic of intelligent information for use.

The Consortium grows – doctima becomes a member
doctima GmbH is familiar with the early days of iiRDS through its participation in the tekom working group "Information 4.0" and now, as a Consortium member, would like to follow iiRDS developments more intensively again and play an active role in shaping them.

On June 27, the project results of the Asset Administration Shell submodel project "Digital Standards Datasheet" in the Industrie 4.0 project InterOpera were presented.
