On June 27, the project results of the Asset Administration Shell submodel project "Digital Standards Datasheet" in the Industrie 4.0 project InterOpera were presented.
A member of the iiRDS Consortium was assigned to actively participated in the InterOpera Working Group “Digital Standards Datasheet”. This submodel is intended to close the gap caused by proprietary management systems that are incompatible with each other, to provide information and meta information at the document level, so that partners in a value network can acquire, exchange, and apply standards interoperably. The aim is to enable, for example, the automated implementation of finding suitable standards for the certification of developed products.
In the final presentation, submodel project manager Jan Mummel from PE-Systems GmbH presented the results of the submodel project "Digital Standards Datasheet". In the course of the development and approval of technical products, product properties must be repeatedly checked against the requirements of relevant standards. Today, this process is predominantly manual and is based on PDF or XML files that are obtained for viewing from from proprietary document management systems or even only in paper form. The AAS enables the standardization of data formats so that they can be exchanged interoperably. In the AAS submodel "Digital Standards Datasheet" submodel, all the necessary information of a standard should therefore be recorded at document level and transferred to a template submodel of the AAS.
The InterOpera project partners include the Steinbeis Europa Zentrum, the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA as well as the Standardization Council Industrie 4.0 supported by the VDE DKE.
